We are excited to announce the launch of our free AI Literacy Pilot Programme, now rolling out to secondary schools across Lusaka. This initiative is designed to give students and teachers hands-on experience with artificial intelligence tools — at absolutely no cost to participating schools.
What the Pilot Covers
Over six sessions, participants learn the fundamentals of AI — what it is, how it works, and most importantly, how to use it responsibly. Sessions cover prompt engineering, AI for research and schoolwork, content creation with AI tools, and understanding AI's limitations and ethical considerations.
Each session is hands-on. Students don't just hear about AI — they use it. By the end of the programme, every participant has built something: a research project, a presentation, or a creative piece, all assisted by AI tools.
Who Is Eligible
The pilot is open to secondary schools in Lusaka with a computer lab or access to devices. We prioritise schools that serve underserved communities, but any school can apply. Each cohort accommodates up to 40 students and 5 teachers.
